01 Do my customers have to join a program?
Guest customers earn credit too. To spend it, they sign in to your store with an emailed code or use Shop Pay. There is no separate points program to join.
02 Can the credit be spent elsewhere?
No. Credit is only valid in your store. It gives your customers a reason to come back to you.
03 How is this different from a loyalty program?
No points to convert or tiers to figure out. Your customers see credit in the currency they paid in, to spend on a future order.
04 Does it work with my newsletter?
Ristou gives you a ready-made block for Shopify Email or Klaviyo, showing the rate, end date and a reminder to sign in to use credit. You send it from your own tool to your own list. A storefront banner also shows the campaign and its end date.
05 What does my Shopify store need?
Ristou works on every Shopify plan. Your store needs new customer accounts and store credit enabled. Onboarding checks both settings. Campaigns can also have a minimum order amount.
06 How much does it cost?
Starter is CHF 29 per month for up to 300 orders and 1 boosted campaign per month. Pro is CHF 89 per month, with unlimited orders and boosted campaigns. There is no free trial. Both plans have no revenue share. The cost of credit used is in addition to the subscription.
07 What happens if an order is refunded or cancelled?
The credit associated with the order is reversed in proportion to the amount refunded. A full cancellation removes the corresponding credit.
08 Who is behind Ristou?
Ristou is a Geneva-based Shopify app. It offers cashback paid as store credit to encourage repeat purchases.
